Consider life as an opera. The mezzo soprano role typically is not the romantic lead.  But she is a big presence in many operas, primarily due to her voluptuous body and voluminous voice (i.e., her character is chubby and has a big mouth). Her character is loved, betrayed, very sick, very dead, exuberantly happy and wallowing in the depths of sorrow, sometimes all in the same act.

Life imitates (Moz)art.

I hope you enjoy the poetry, prose and blog posts on this site. I also write “very short stories” (#vss) and micropoetry on Twitter as @yearningangel.
