National Haiku Writing Month

February is National Haiku Writing Month (NaHaiWriMo). Daily writing prompts can be found on NaHaiWriMo’s Facebook Page.  The first week is all about food. More accurately, the prompts are food-based; the poetry may or may not be.  As an example, here is my response to the February 2nd prompt, “egg.” It is inspired by an egg but is a poem about family.

  1. I noticed that! I haven’t stayed up-to-date as much lately, but I really enjoyed your “verdant” haiku a few days back. Also liked the woodblock print — very funny!
