Let’s sing without words
Let’s paint without form
And glide without wings
Let’s talk in one language
Let’s move our collective hips
And feel the floor’s vibration
We’ll listen to music as one
We’ll speak the same language
Of music, of dance, of love

Absolutely beautiful. It dances and sings across the page.
A really lovely poem, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it
Thank you, Liz!
Did the same person who wrote the Hit Woman series also write this lovely, life-affirming poem?
Yes, it’s all me! I’m an avid watcher of crime drama, and a frequent player of word games on Twitter. Somehow those two endeavors have come together to form the hitwoman character. I tried to retire her on January 1st, but on January 2nd she popped back into my head, based on a word prompt from #Artwiculate and a writing theme prompt from #ThePush. Maybe I can finally retire her on January 1st of next year!
